In 2004, Greg & Judy Kingery decided to have their son, Nate ’06, transfer to Regina from a school in Cedar Rapids where they lived. The Kingery family feels very blessed by the Regina community for the initial welcome they received and the on-going friendship, guidance and caring shown to them. It is because of these integral relationships that the family chose to establish an endowed fund to annually recognize a Regina teacher, staff member or coach who goes “above and beyond” his/her duties to demonstrate, model and uphold the ideals of trustworthiness, respect, responsibility, fairness, caring and citizenship to Regina students. The $250 Kingery Character annual award will be given to the school to be utilized by the recipient in his/her classroom, office or department.
